Our Story

Allan Wright delights with his incredible cottonwood bark carvings, transforming each piece into a unique flowing design. Each whimsical house is carved by hand, using only the bark of the cottonwood tree. Al purchases his bark from a site north of Terrace, B.C. where it grows incredibly thick. Each carving is a testament to his skill and imagination, promising to add a whimsical charm to any space.

No two Faery Houses are alike.  The skilled artisan's touch ensures that every piece bears its own personality, with wood-burned embellishments reminiscent of ancient runes or the delicate tracery of wildflowers.

These doors do not merely open; they beckon you to listen, to imagine, and to embark on a journey through tales that linger in woodgrain and shadow.  Bringing such a house into your home is to invite the essence
of whimsy and the comfort of hand-craftedspirit, each detail a gentle reminder that magic is real, if you know where to look.

The Magic Behind the Creation

Carol Wright was making her wooden feathers for quite a while when, one night, she had a fantastical dream. Carol believes her spirit guides came to show her how to embellish her feathers and make them into the beautiful creations they are today. Each feather is decorated with rich semi precious stones accompanied by a printed card which explains the spiritual values of each stone. These Spirit Feathers are perfect for those seeking a touch of the mystic in their lives.

Paired with the Faerie House is the Spirit Feather - an object born of dreams, carrying the ethereal energy of inspiration. This feather is not simply shaped; it is formed line by line, wood-burned with care and devotion.

Semi-precious stones glint along its length, each chosen for their unique colour and vibrance, reflecting the light and energy they embody.  The feather is more than ornamental; it is a vessel of meaning and intention.

Together, the Faerie House and Spirit Feather bring a profound sense of wonder into your home.  Their creation is a labour of love, each step guided by intuition and spirit.  They are reminders that beauty exists in the handmade, in the dream-inspired, and in the stories we share.  Whether displayed on a shelf, hung on a wall, gifted to a loved one, or held close as a talisman, these creations are companions for your life's journey - crafted by hand, guided by spirit, and forever ready to spark a sense of enchantment in your everyday life.

"Everything is always alright in the end.  If it's not - it's not the end!"
